09/10/2006 - Rotors, Relays, and Battery Cable
Been a little side tracked with a new small project - the "GoMo"

Received the SN95 rear rotors and the one rear caliper I picked up off ebay. Just have to get the UltraStang mounts for the rear and find another caliper (right side) and then all the little bolts, etc for rear discs.

Located and installed the relays for the Low/High beam lights and electric fan. The light relays will be used to drive higher wattage headlight bulbs in the future. Was just much easier to get them in now. I've also used standard Bosch relays for all the relays needs including the computer relays to allow carrying just one spare in the car.

View with the washer bottle in shows why I chose that location for the relays. They are well hidden but can be accessed with a couple screws holding the bottle in. I still have to run a large gauge wire from the battery side of the solenoid over to the power side of the relays for the lights and fan but will simply wrap that up in the front harness. Remember the engine bay will eventually be painted black as well.

This is where I have mounted the starter solenoid and regulator. Looks like I need to straighten up the regulator some.. :( I was going to put the starter solenoid in the trunk but have since talked myself out of that. I re-installed the long battery cable from the trunk to the front in plastic covering to keep it from getting ripped up or shorting. This will be just below the Mass Air Sensor that will be mounted where the battery is supposed to be.

Here the ECC and O2 power relays are mounted. Again I will be replacing any Ford relays with the Bosch units for common parts and the Bosch relays are very common. These are not wired up yet but will replace the lower relay hanging and the green connector wiring.

Here is the routing for the battery cable in the loom. It runs in the door sill up over the wheel well to the trunk. Note the relays are wired up here now as well except for the O2 power source.

The battery comes through the outer firewall area and will be run  up over the outer shock tower and up to the starter solenoid. The computer constant 12v will be routed here as well and is the other wire shown taking that path.

One little item thrown in the last order is this Cobra EFI cover. The car will have a 'Cobra' theme throughout since I've always liked the name and had used some emblems in the past. The car will have Cobra pan, valve covers, clutch/brake pedals, emblems on the scoop, etc. Cobra... not Shelby
