5/27/2007 - New Master Cylinder, 347 Stoker Kit

Four Wheel Disc Master Cylinder
After reading about converting to four wheel disc online I figured I should follow the lead and get a master cylinder that is actually designed for four wheel disc. The original MC should have a residual check valve in the rear master port that will wear out pads quickly

This unit is from a 96 Mustang with four wheel disc. Although much discussion online involves using an 84-86 Mustang SVO unit, it simply will not fit with the standard power brake booster.

Here is the unit installed. I still had to clearance the front tip of the MC a little to make it fit but it should work fine like this. Now I want to know the pin outs of the level sensor and hook it back into the original brake warning light.

347 Stroker Kit
I have always planned on going with a stroker kit of some sort/size. While I kept looking at high end forged crank, H-Beam rod setups, I really could not justify going that route for a stock block / stock computer controlled engine that might have a 100 shot of nitrous.

With that in mind I picked up this Scat kit from a local reseller. It features a Scat 9000 cast crank, forged rods with ARP cap screws for extra strength beyond stock rods, and forged probe .030 pistons.

The primary item I wanted was forged pistons as I just do not like stock cast pistons in any type of performance engine. With a 5500 RPM limit on the computer and a stock block this should hold up for many years under my use / abuse.

EFI Fuel Supply/Return System

In other business I have designed my EFI fuel system and have ordered nearly all the parts. $300+ worth in fact. I just felt like I should go ahead and do everything in true braided line with 3/8" aluminum supply and return hard line.

Nothing special but the basic design is as shown below;

Floor Pans and Seat Platforms

I have also ordered new floor pans and seat platforms. Although not the cheapest I purchased them through Johns Mustang in Houston. This is my first purchase from them so we'll see how it goes. I wanted the pans that has the outside flange bent up like the factory to make it easier to install and easier to seal up. John's was the first place I found this option. To make things simple I ordered the seat platforms from them as well.
